Meet Ally.

Background and professional experience.

Ally is a registered clinical psychologist and board-approved supervisor with over a decade of experience providing trauma-informed psychological care to children, adolescents, and adults. Her approach is grounded in empathy, clinical expertise, and a deep commitment to supporting individuals through complex and challenging experiences.

Ally has worked across a range of settings—including forensic, private, government, and community sectors—providing psychological assessment and therapy to a diverse range of clients. Her clinical work has included supporting individuals impacted by sexual trauma, working with emergency services personnel, assisting clients referred through the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal, and working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families within the out-of-home care system.

Previously, Ally held a position at the Children’s Court Clinic—an independent, state-wide specialist service that conducts psychological and psychiatric assessments of children, adolescents, and families involved in court matters. In this role, she provided clinical assessments and expert witness testimony to inform decisions about parental capacity and child safety before the Children’s Court of Victoria.

Most recently, Ally worked as a senior clinical psychologist within a specialist trauma-focused team in the Victorian Public Mental Health Service. She now works exclusively in private practice, offering a thoughtful and relational approach to care.

Ally believes in working collaboratively, honouring her clients as the experts in their own lives. Her approach is integrative and tailored, drawing from a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities, including:

  • Attachment-informed approaches;

  • Polyvagal theory;

  • Somatic-informed psychotherapy;

  • Exposure-based approaches;

  • Imagery rescripting;

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT);

  • Trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy (TF-CBT);
