Appointment and referral information.

You do not need a referral to see a clinical psychologist. However, if you would like to access the Medicare rebate (a partial refund for your sessions), you will need to speak with your GP or psychiatrist about obtaining a Mental Health Treatment Plan.

With a current Mental Health Treatment Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $141.85 per session, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Ally is able to process this rebate on your behalf at the end of each session.

Alternatively, depending on your private health insurance policy, you may be eligible for a partial rebate through your provider. Please check with your insurer for details specific to your level of cover.

Kindly note that there will be an out-of-pocket expense for each session, as the Medicare rebate covers only part of the session fee.

If you have any questions about referrals, Medicare rebates, or appointment availability, you're very welcome to get in touch.
